1.issue   n．发行物,（报刊）期号：问题，议题，争论点；（水、血等）流出，放出；河口，出口 v．（报刊等）发行，发布：排出，（使）流出；分配
【例】Issues of price, place, promotion, and product are among the most conventional concerns in planning marketing strategies.
在制定市场战略时，价格、地点、产品推广以及产品本身是最普遍的关注点。( 2004)
【辨】issue, problem, question 三个词都有“问题”的意思。issue指有争议的问题或难点，如：economic issue; problem强调问题很有难度，如：math problem; question意思比较广，强调疑惑。

2.ferocious   adj.凶恶的，残暴的；十分强烈的
【例】The attack is so ferocious that Taylor is unable to make out the attacker.
攻击者的进攻十分凶猛，泰勒招架不住了。

3.hatred  n．仇恨，憎恶，敌意
【例】I cannot imagine how his hatred for me come.
我无法想象他对我的敌意从何而来。
【用】hatred后通常跟介词for或of,表示“对…的仇恨（敌意）”。

4.browse   v．浏览（书刊）；（牲畜）吃草
【记】联想记忆：上网常用的浏览器就是browser
【例】I like browsing through a magazine during breakfast.
我喜欢吃早饭时随意翻阅杂志。

5.condition  n.条件；状况；环境，形势 v.使取决于，决定，制约
【记】词根记忆：con+dit(给予)+ion(名词后缀)--就给这么多--条件；决定
【例】The difference between a liquid and a gas is obvious under the conditions of temperature and pressure commonly found at the surface of the Earth.
在地球表面通常的温度和压力情况下，液体和气体的区别很明显。(2000)
His behavior was conditioned by his parents.
父母对他的行为有重要影响。
0n condition (that): He asked me to lend him some money, which I agreed to do, on condition that he paid me back the following week.
他向我借钱，我答应了，但条件是他得在下周还给我。( 2005)

6.fancy  adj.作装饰用的，别致的，花哨的；昂贵的，最高档的 vt．想象，设想；喜爱，爱好：（无根据地）相信，猜想 n.想象（力），幻想（力）：爱好，迷恋
【例】Children usually have a lively fancy.
儿童往往具有丰富的想象力。
take a fancy to :  I think she really took a fancy to you-talked about you all the time when I saw her last summer.
我想她一定是爱上你了，上个暑假见到她时她一直在谈论你的事情。
【用】fancy dress是指“化装舞会上所穿的衣服”。
【辨】fancy，imagination, fancy主要指古怪的、多变的思想产物，与现实相距特别远；而imagination则指高层次、富有创造性的想象能力。

7.fierce   adj.凶猛的，残忍的；猛烈的；激烈的：狂热的；强烈的
【例】Some 5,000 residents are allowed to return home after being evacuated due to fierce storms in Australia.
因强风暴袭击而撤离的大约5000名澳大利亚居民已可以返回家园。

8.inefficient  adj.效率低的；无效果的；不经济的；能力差的；不称职的
【记】联想记忆：in+efficient(有效率的)--效率低的
【例】Tom said he worked long exhausting hours, and felt very inefficient.
汤姆说他工作了很长时间，疲惫不堪，而且感觉效率非常低。
